Words cannot even begin to describe these books. They are simply amazing! In it you'll find all abou tdifferent civilizations from the Stone Age up to World War II. For the sake of simplicity, I'll give each of the books a rating:
Savage Stone Age: 4/5
I liked the Stone Age book, and loved the beginning of it. It was amazing! But by the end it kind of started getting boring. About 1/4 of the book was spent on archeology and not the actual Stone Age. And the final one-fourth, literally taking up over two chapters, was nonstop droning on about Stonehenge! It was all Stonehenge, and stonehenge, and stonehenge! The book started off fantastic--phenominal, but the ending was a bit off.
Awesome Egyptians: 4/5
Another good book. I liked it, but the organization was very odd. It talks about how to make am mummy, then famous pharaohs, then what to do after making a mummy, then pyramid-building, then more mummy stuff, then more famous pharaohs. They should've organized better because they're hopping from one fact to another. Also, too much time was spent on mummy-making, didn't explain too much about Egypt.
Groovy Greeks 5/5
Flawless book! I absolutely love the Greeks and this book did them justice--one of the few Horrible Histories books to actually praise the civilization they're mentioning. It was great!
Rotten Romans 2/5
You won't actually hear anything about the Romans (except maybe a few mentions of them) until Page 58--halfway through the book. Literally half the book is spent describing the Celts; and the other half kind of alternates between Roman life and Celt life. basically a book on teh Celt, scarcely scrapes over the surface of the Roman Empire. Really disapointing.
