The book is new, from scratch and focuses on what the tech needs to know in the field to do the job and doesn't waste time with lengthy discussions of theory. My students love it.

The book is very thorough; almost too much sometimes, but better too much information about something you don't understand than not enough. I had a background in HVAC, so sometimes it was boring, but all in all it is a good text for HVAC education.
