This book is a must read for any woman. I must admit that the only reason I even read this was for a class, which was good, because that gave me the opportunity to share my ideas on the reading. This book changed my perspective. I hadn't realized how much power men had over women and how oblivious the majority of us are to it. A bit of warning: you will never be able to take in media or interact with people in quite the same way.

Love this book so much! It is so interesting and informative, and I am proud to say that the topic of feminism does not frighten me anymore. I have gained knowledge that inspires me to think outside the box and to think more about women related issues. Instead of peering through dirty glass, I am cleaning the glass and looking on the other side towards new feminist ideas and values. The chapters are to the point and easy to read, and I have read chapters that were not assigned just because I wanted to and they looked interesting. Definitely worth the money!
