This was the only book I bought to prepare myself for the Psych AP. As a home-schooler, I hadn't had the opportunity to take the AP course at a high school, but was familiar with the study of psychology. This book presented an excellently organized laundry list of EXACTLY what I needed to focus on and explained the topics quite well. It guided my research and pointed me in the direction of all the famous names that would appear. I used it as a spring-board to my Wikipedia explorations; if a topic wasn't covered very in-depth, I would often research it a little on my own to get a broader understanding. Most times, however, this wasn't necessary.
In 2 months' study, I earned a score of 5. Absolutely worth it for Psych AP takers!

this is very concise. used this the night before the exam. and it REALLY helped refresh everything I learned through out the year. i ended up with a 5 on this exam. i also bought barrons flash cards but those were a waste since i couldn't find the time to cram them the night before. if you already know most of the stuff but need a quick refresher on the facts and stuff, this book will be very effective in pushing it all out to the front of your memory. but if you didn't really pay much attention in class and don't know much by now, perhaps this might still possibly help you if you are a good crammer (im not). good luck, and remember, the ap test isn't impossibly hard!
