Well-written, easy to read, and informative, this book will be referred to repeatedly by clinicians working with articulation disorders. It covers everything you need to know about articulation and normal development of sounds. Assessment, diagnosis, and intervention is also covered, and it contains several charts throughout which the clinician will find useful to refer to or keep data.

Full disclosure, here -- Dr. Bauman-Waengler was one of my professors in undergrad and grad school, and I think she's great. So maybe I'm a little biased, but I own the 2nd edition of this book and think it's a fabulous resource! I referred to it very often when I was starting out, and still use it periodically. The book is well organized, with lots of useful information in easily accessible charts. Also, it's an easy read, thanks to Dr. Bauman-Waengler's distinct and enjoyable writing style. I'd recommend it to anyone!
