I chose this book because I prefer the Fodor's books as my basic guides. This one was to replace my beat-up 2004 copy, which was, I believe the last one to include Abruzzo and Molise, a wonderful area to visit. I was disappointed, as I was with the ones in recent years, to see that this area is still omitted, and I returned the book. In general, not that much new information but a good general guide to Italy.

In the past I've usually purchased the Eyewitness travel books .... Yes! I like my visuals and more the better please!
Fodor's does a good job here. A rather thick book. And quite the weighty beast! Actually as I browse the travel section in my home library and I' do mean LIBRARY! I have several Fodor's travel books now! You really can' t go wrong with them. Lot's of "inside" currents, pertinent history, which is a must, especially for History buffs and romantics... That aside, they could have brought the "type-size" up a bit and change out the newspaper quality pix for "fine pixel quality" photo's like the COVER! Hint hint! My goodness my Notebook II takes better snaps!
Anyways, that aside, it's a good little BIG book and I really must get studying! Ciao'
