About the Author
Steven M. Barrett is the author of Hidden Mickeys guides to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the Disney Cruise Line. He lives in Seminole County, Florida, near Orlando. Barrett paid his first visit to DisneyWorld in the late 1980s, after attending a conferencein Orlando. He immediately fell under its spell, visitingit twice yearly with family and friends for the nextseveral years, offering touring advice to the less initiated,and reading almost everything written about theWDW theme parks. When a job in his field openedup not far from WDW in 1998, Barrett, a Texas native,Air Force veteran, and former University of Oklahomaprofessor, relocated to the Orlando area fromHouston, Texas. He began visiting the WDW parks everychance he got to enjoy the attractions, sample therestaurants, escort visiting friends and relatives, andfind hidden Mickeys! His interest in them led him to write his three Hidden Mickeys field guides.
