Bought as a requirement for a master's level counseling course. Surely there has to be a textbook that focuses on Career Development that is more engaging than this one! I found this text to be unbearably dry and unstructured. If you are looking for a text to present career development theories in a clear and concise manner, look elsewhere. This text is a whole lot of fluff and very little informative content! In the running for worst textbook ever!

Here is the problem. I am a graduate student in a Master's Counseling program. This is the first eText I have purchased. It still cost a lot. The publisher only allows it to be viewed on two devices - neither of those being my smartphone. I was planning on accessing this text on my tablet, and at times on my laptop, but my phone is always with me and those of you who have been in school (does that leave anyone out?) know you read every time you get a chance to keep caught up. I now have to lug a tablet with me everywhere I go. A tablet that doesn't have USB charging capabilities. So that puts a real crimp in my reading times. This is not okay for approximately $95.00 for a book that I can't even resell now. This item needs at least 6 licenses and the ability to be read on a smartphone. I will rethink purchasing kindle textbooks for now. I know that is the road we are headed down, but Mr. Publisher, if you can't pave it with something better than dirt or cobblestones this is not a road I'm interested in taking. If you can pave in a more modern fashion, I will become interested in over paying you for Kindle textbooks again.
